Prayagraj is one of the oldest cities in India. It is crowned in ancient scriptures as ‘Prayag’ or ‘Teertharaj’ and is considered the holiest of pilgrimage centres of India. It is situated at the confluence of three rivers- Ganga, Yamuna, and the invisible Saraswati. The meeting point is known as Triveni and is very sacred to Hindus. The Kumbh held in every six years and Mahakumbh in every 12 years at Prayagraj (Sangam) are the largest gatherings of pilgrims on this earth.
Prayagraj Municipal Corporation wanted to engage Contractors for primary and secondary - collection and transportation of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) till processing site as per Solid Waste Management Rules 2016. The purpose of this project is to create an efficient and effective garbage collection system in Prayagraj, with the following objectives:
- To comply with Solid Waste (Management and Handling) Rules, 2016.
- To improve the existing standards of public health and environmental quality by establishing
- Efficient mechanism for collection and transportation of Municipal Solid Waste.
- Ensure clean and hygienic collection and transportation system of Municipal Solid Waste.
- Improve productivity of man, Materials, and equipment for the aforesaid objective
The Solution
Prayagraj Municipal Corporation awarded the contract to Lion Service Ltd. to manage the end-to-end, door-to-door, and mechanised cleaning operations. Lion Service Ltd. partnered with Nobilitas Infotech Pvt. Ltd. to implement IT Enabled Waste Management Solution.
Nobilitas – Waste Management System is a true end-to-end solution which simplifies Daily Waste Operations and controls the Logistics with Collaboration and Insights. The purpose of our solution is to have the Surveys, Operations, Customer, and Drivers Apps connected to one centralized ‘hub’ so that all the stakeholders can access information within seconds!
